Taost "Monk" ?

Or is it "Chippie"?

Today's Mutts Comic Strip - ArcaMax Publishing

Chapter 48 of the Tao te Ching says:
In the pursuit of learning, every day something is acquired.
In the pursuit of Tao, every day something is dropped.
Less and less is clear
Until at last non-action is acheived.
When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.
The world is ruled by letting things take their course,
It cannot be ruled by interfering.

So when  Monk says: "O Shphinx, I can't remember a thing;" and
the Shphinx says: "How long have you had this problem?"; and
Monk answers: "What problem?"...
Is it because he has forgotten to remember or because
he has remembered tp forget?.
